Reformer

  • Reformer Pilates is a dynamic, full-body workout performed on a spring-loaded machine called a reformer.

Using a combination of resistance, movement, and breath, it helps build strength, improve flexibility, and support better posture—all in a low-impact, joint-friendly way.

  • Perfect for anyone looking to move with more control, feel stronger and more supported in their body—whether you're returning from injury or pregnancy, prefer a lower-impact style, or want to complement other forms of training.

Whether you’re brand new to Pilates or an experienced mover, the reformer can be adjusted to suit your level and goals.

  • You don’t need to be flexible or “fit” to start—just come as you are. Wear grippy socks, bring a water bottle and towel. Most importantly, go at your own pace—your reformer journey is yours to explore.

If you’ve never done reformer before and are feeling a little intimidated, try our Foundations Series first—it’s the perfect place to begin.

Mat

  • Mat Pilates is a floor-based movement practice that uses bodyweight exercises and small props—like balls, bands, rings, or light weights—to build strength, stability, and mobility.

It’s the original form of Pilates, focusing on controlled, precise movements that align the body and connect breath to movement—with a modern twist in our classes to keep things fresh, fun, and functional.

  • Those who want to move with intention, build body awareness, and feel stronger from the inside out.

Mat Pilates is great for beginners and seasoned movers alike, and it can be easily adapted to suit all fitness levels.

  • Mats are provided—just wear comfortable clothes you can move in, grippy socks, and don’t forget a water bottle and towel. If props are used, your instructor will guide you through how to use them.

Be open to slowing things down—mat work often looks simple but challenges you in ways that build lasting strength and awareness.

Meet the Team

Em: Owner and Instructor

I teach Pilates because I know first-hand how powerful movement can be—not just for your body, but for your mind. After my own struggles with mental health, I found that prioritising movement gave me a sense of calm, connection, and confidence I didn’t realise I needed. For me, Pilates isn’t about being perfect—it’s about tuning in, building strength from the inside out, and learning to meet yourself where you’re at.

At Home of Movement, we’re all about creating a space where you can come as you are. Some days you'll feel strong, other days you might just be getting through—and that's totally okay. What makes our studio special is the focus on how you feel, not how you look. It's a space for real people, real bodies, and real progress—whatever that looks like for you.

Ruby: Instructor

Ruby brings a calm, supportive energy to every class. She’s recently completed her Pilates certification, but she’s no stranger to movement—she also has a Cert III in Fitness and teaches cycle classes, so she knows how to guide people through a solid, feel-good workout.

Her classes are all about moving with purpose. She takes the time to make sure everyone feels supported, whether you’re brand new or a regular on the reformer. Expect thoughtful cues, a strong focus on safe, mindful movement, and plenty of encouragement to move in a way that feels right for you. Ruby’s all about helping you feel strong, capable, and at home in your body.
